FAQ
They are made from PETG which has a few advantages when compared to standard printing plastic like PLA or PLA+.
1. Weight: PETG has higher density than PLA which makes it heavier.
2. Durability: PETG is less shatter resistant which is perfect for a plastic trainer. It is also resistant to mechanical stress like compression or tension.
3. Wear and tear: PETG is abrasive resistant which means pivot surfaces wont wear out and develop tap overtime.
4. Heat resistant: PETG has higher heat resistance (up to 85°C/ 185°F softening temp) than PLA (55°C/140° softening temp) which means it won’t deform if you leave it outdoors or in your car and it is also UV resistant.
5. Recyclable: PETG are essentially plastic bottle plastics and are very easy to recycle.
